The official Jealousy 5 theme tune “Face Down” by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus begins to play. It then cuts off as the L-W music, “Sparkle and Shine” by Econoline Crush plays, signalling the start of the show.
BETHEA: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the return of Live-Wire.
BRIGGS: It’s also a return of other things too, Beast. “The” Ross Walker, Trent Brown, Anthony Douglas ...these men are back in FWF.
BETHEA: I am Ernest “The Beast” Bethea joined tonight by TB, Tom Briggs.
BRIGGS: And I can predict the future, Beast. I predict that tonight’s edition of Live-Wire goes down as the best episode in its two and a half year history.
BETHEA: FWF CEO Chris Sharp made his first appearance on FWF television this Monday on Rampage, firing the former Commissioner, Joe Stall.
BRIGGS: But before Joe left, he made a match for tonight. In a round one Jealousy tournament match, James Bohne will face his girlfriend and tag team partner, Christine Marsh.
BETHEA: And in our main event, The Predator makes his fourth title defence since Genesis as he faces Prozac. A World title match will be on Live-Wire!
BRIGGS: And speaking of title matches, we have one coming up to start the show.
JENKINS: The following First Round Jealousy Tournament match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Fantasy Wrestling Federation Hardcore Championship. Introducing first...
Defy You begins as the video shows Anthony Douglas entering numerous events as the words are about to kick in to the song. Anthony Douglas steps out onto the stage as he steps out with his title on his shoulder he runs around at pace, title over his shoulder he runs over to one side of the stage, and looks into the crowd beating his title the fans boo, as he turns away and does it to the otherside too. Lisa Jones follows from behind as Anthony moves back to the middle and raises his title at the same time he does that the pyros go off behind him as he begins to walk down to the ramp. Anthony Douglas holds Lisa around the waist as they continue to be booed by the fans.
JENKINS: ... the challenger. Accompanied by Lisa Jones ...from Los Angeles, California ...weighing in at 210 pounds...
The lights flicker a blue and yellow as he makes his way to the ring steps he runs up them as Lisa Jones walks up them, Anthony moves to the middle and looks into the crowd again as the crowd boo he sits on the middle rope, and pulls the top one open as Lisa moves into the ring, he passes Lisa the belt as he goes through the middle rope and takes the belt back off Lisa as he climbs the turnbuckle and raises his title, pointing to himself, so the fans know that he is number one.
JENKINS: ... "The Innovator"...Anthony Douglas!
BRIGGS: Oh my! He's back! The former champion's back!
BETHEA: And these fans still remember him.
BRIGGS: They also still hate him, which is odd as I think he's quite good.
BETHEA: Let's see how good he is when he challenges for the Hardcore Title.
JENKINS: And his opponent...
"Reach out and touch Faith!" The echoes of the original evening Star send the crowd into a frenzy. They search for him as he might be anywhere in the arena...
JENKINS: ...from Dover, Ohio ...weighing in at 235 pounds ...he is the FWF Hardcore Champion ...Blake Archer!
The big release screams out of the people as the man jumps out onto the stage...the crowd's blast huge and defining. He struts down the ramp reaching his arms out for the lusting fans to touch and sides into the ring. Douglas immediately stamps on Blake.
BETHEA: Douglas going right for the champion. He really wants this title or he really wants to go to Jealousy.
BRIGGS: Why would he want either? He's a former Heavyweight Champion!
Douglas immediately kicks Blake in the groin before the bell rings. As soon as it rings, Douglas hits the Defiance Driver on Blake and covers. ...1 ...2 ...3. The bell sounds.
JENKINS: The winner of the match, and through to the second round of Jealousy ...and the new FWF Hardcore Champion ..."The Innovator" Anthony Douglas!
The referee hands Douglas his new title. He holds it up high as the crowd boo him loudly.
BRIGGS: What a return for The Innovator. He just beat Blake Archer to not only go through to the next round of Jealousy, but to end Archer's 4-month Hardcore Title reign.
BETHEA: Not without cheating, though.
BRIGGS: It was a hardcore match anyway. There are no rules.
The scene switches with Chris Knite, standing in front of the Jealousy logo with a microphone in his hand and a grin on his face.
KNITE: Ladies and gentlemen, it is I... “The Saviour” Chris Knite. My guest at this time is the man who destroyed Matthew Knox on MNR ...the new UK champion, “Super” Benny Starr.
The camera slowly zooms out to show Starr stood with his belt wrapped around his waist. Stood beside him is David Calaz, with his leg in a cast and crutches to keep himself up.
KNITE: First of all, Benny, let me say what an honour it is to be stood beside you.
BENNY: Yes, it is an honour because tonight is a night of returns. It’s the return of Live-Wire, Jealousy, FWF and... finally... I have returned to being a champion.
KNITE: We have received words from the doctors that at the hands of the Super Strike, Matt Knox won’t be here tonight. In fact, you hit him so hard that he won’t be back for a very long time. How does that make you feel?
BENNY: I am “Super” Benny Starr... and the extra “R” is for “Relieved”. I am finally free of the bird keeping me from what’s rightfully mine.
KNITE: So, the long rivalry is finally over after eight months, on and off. So what’s next for Mr. Hollywood?
BENNY: It’s simple, Chris. Matt Knox was praised as being the best Warrior of this generation. But, now I’ve beaten him twice in singles action... both times for two different titles. I’ve beaten the best, which makes me better than the best. So next week, the Jealousy tournament continues and on that night, I will join the ranks of the Warriors to win before me as I am named the FWF Lost Heroes Trophy Holder.
BETHEA: Welcome back to Live-Wire.
“I Disappear” by Metallica plays as dark orange and red lights flash. Moments later, Christine makes her way out. She stands on the stage, scowling before walking down the ramp and getting into the ring.
JENKINS: The following Round 1 Jealousy tournament match scheduled is for one fall. Introducing first ...from Glasgow, Scotland ...she is the Highlander from Hell ...Christine Marsh!
“Nothing, But a Good Time” plays and James enters the arena. He then walks down the ramp and climbs into the ring.
JENKINS: And her opponent ...
The bell sounds and the couple stare at each other. James points down at the canvas and Christine lies down. James smiles as he slowly covers her with the crowd booing. ...1 ...2 ...Christine kicks out.
BRIGGS: She kicked out!
BETHEA: Looks like the Highlander from Hell wants to win Jealousy just as much as James does.
Christine and James get up and stare down in the middle of the ring. Christine nods in anticipation before James slaps her across the face. She smiles and the two begin to circle the ring. They go to lock up, but Christine dropkicks James to his knee.
BRIGGS: Mr. and Mrs. Smith: eat your heart out.
She bounces off the ropes and when she comes back, James lifts her up for a sidewalk slam, but Christine counters with a hurricanrana, throwing James neck first into the second rope. She hits the ropes again. This time, she nails the 619.
BETHEA: Fast display of action by Christine.
James gets up and Christine springboards. As she is about to hit James, Bohne connects with the Tornado Kick.
BETHEA: The superkick... right in the face of his girlfriend.
BRIGGS: Lolz!
James begins to unfasten one of the turnbuckle pads. He then picks Christine up and tries to Irish-whip her into it, but she stops herself. James runs at her, but she crawls between his legs and James almost hits the exposed steel, but blocks himself.
BRIGGS: Smarter than he looks.
From behind, Christine dropkicks James right into the corner. He stumbles back and Christine rolls him up, hooking the ropes. ...1 ...2. The referee notices Christine is holding the ropes and tells her to break the ropes. She stands up and begins to argue.
BETHEA: I don’t think she’s happy about that, TB. It looked like she had the win.
When she turns around, James has made it to his feet and he lifts Christine into the fireman’s carry. He is about to hit the Assassination, but Marsh counters, hooking James’ head and bringing him over the top rope. The two fall to the outside.
BETHEA: Nice counter, but one of them has to get back into the ring.
...1 ...2 ...3. Both Warriors get to their feet. James grabs Christine and hits her with a European Uppercut, forcing her to fall back. ...4 ...5 ...6. James apologises and the two hug. With the crowd booing heavily, they kiss.
BRIGGS: I think James is giving her an option: Either a broken heart or a broken nose.
...7 ...8 ...9. James smiles and grabs Christine by the face, pushing her down to the floor. He then slides into the ring. ...10.
JENKINS: The winner of the match ...and advancing into round 2 of the Jealousy tournament ...James Bohne!
BETHEA: Well, he cheapshotted his own girlfriend.
BRIGGS: She would’ve done the same if she thought of it first.
James raises his arms and gets out of the ring. He grabs Christine, but she pushes him away. The two begin to walk up the ramp with James apologising. They make it backstage.
BETHEA: Well, TB, it looks like there’s trouble in paradise.
BRIGGS: And trouble is what’s in store in our next match.
BETHEA: It’s a battle of the returnees as “The” Ross Walker takes on Trent Brown. Don’t go away.
BETHEA: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the return of Live-Wire.
