BETHEA: Welcome one and all to the first post-Genesis Live-Wire. I'm Ernest Bethea.
BRIGGS: And I'm not Sam Strachon.
BETHEA: Joining me now, TB, Tom Briggs. Tom, the dust still hasn't settled from Genesis.
BRIGGS: Absolutely not. One thing is for sure though... we have a new World Heavyweight Champion in The Predator.
BETHEA: He will be facing Couch Potato at Vertigo in a title unification match.
BRIGGS: That's if he makes it there alive. He has the Mexican Monster to deal with first... in our main event.
The lights dim and the vid screen has Snake sitting at a desk all dressed up in a school uniform with a stack of books sitting on the desk. Looking like he was in some rich little school were the parents dropped their kids off to get rid of them and brag that they were at this school or one that worked their asses off to get in. At this point he looks at the class all around seeing them just fallowing the system their brains gone shells of their former self and to the teacher before sweeping his hand across the desk throwing the books off the desk and looking as if they cracked the screen. Standing up and tearing off his uniform to his normal attire.
BRIGGS: Get on with it.
He seems to get dragged out of the room and out into the hall and the other students seem to cheer while he was dragged threw the hall the people changing into better clothes and being orginal and then he gets pushed into darkness and comes out on the stage like he was shoved. Walking down the ramp and tapping peoples hands and pumping the crowd and they cheer as he continues to make himself down the ring still playing the crowd and shaking a few hand making a few lucky fans and slipping into the ring and holding up his fist with a loud cheer burst from the crowd.
JENKINS: The following match is for one fall. Introducing first from Dover, Ohio and weighing in at 235 pounds…Snake!
Crawling by Linkin Park leaks out with a bang from the speakers as an image flickers through on the giant screen and a figure apears. He then walks down the ramp and gets into the ring.
JENKINS: And from the Unknown ...weighing 256 pounds …The Count!
They go to lock up and Count swing a big clothesline, but Snake ducks it. Snake then goes for a spinning back kick, but The Count avoids it. The Count gets Snake in a waist lock; he goes for a back drop, but Snake flips and lands on his feet. Snake runs and rebounds off the ropes and goes for a wheel kick, but The Count avoids that too. They both are on their feet staring down.
BETHEA: Great show!
BRIGGS: Now they need to hit eachother.
Snake goes for a kick but The Count grabs Snake’s leg. Snake then jumps up with the other leg kicking The Count in the side of the head, but The Count doesn’t fall he just stumbles and is left open for a bull dog by Snake.
BETHEA: Good way to stay on him. Snake is looking very impressive in his debut.
Snake bounces off the ropes and jumps high in the air looking for an elbow drop but The Count moves and Snake its noting but mat. They both get up at the same time and Snake goes for a kick, but again The Count grabs his leg. He jumps up again looking for another counter, but The Count ducks and Snakes lands face first on the ground and The Count quickly followers up with an elbow drop to his back.
BETHEA: now The Count is putting the assault to Snake.
BRIGGS: The Count better not lose or that will make Benny Starr look even worse since The Count is the only one to beat in singles competition.
The Count drives his knee in the back of Snake keeping him grounded. He drives his knee in again, and a third time. He rolls Snake over and mounts his and begins unloading on him with a few lefts and right then gets up and lifts Snake up to his feet by his head. The Count uses a scoop slam to take Snake back down then he goes for the cover. …1. Snake kicks out.
BETHEA: The Count is in control.
BRIGGS: But he will need to do more damage before attempting another pinfall.
The Count gets Snake in a chinlock and applies great pressure. Snake squints his eyes as he tries to fight the pain. The ref asks if snake wants to quit but he says no and begins fighting his way up to his feet.
BETHEA: Snakes up!
Snake hits The Count in the midsection with an elbow, but this only causes The Count to grind his teeth as he tightens the hold. After a second delay, Snake hits two more fast elbows making The Count break the hold. Snake then quick hits a hard side kick catching The Count right in the face and knocking him down. Snake covers. …1. Count kicks out.
BETHEA: The kick was nasty.
BRIGGS: I think I saw his teeth fly into the crowd.
Snake gets up and hits a standing spinning legdrop. He springs to his feet and hits a fast elbow drop to The Counts chest. Snake rolls to his feet and hits a standing senton.
BETHEA: Great combo of moves which is keeping The Count grounded. If he keeps it up The Count might stay down for awhile.
Snake runs towards the ropes and jumps off them looking for a springboard senton but The Count gets his knees up and Snake slams against them back first, but Snake gets up and wobble around holding his back. The Count gets up and rushes Snake taking him down with a powerful spear. The Count the lifts Snake and knees him in the gut, then punches him in the face, and the forearms him in the head. The Count the irish whips The Count towards the corner, but Snake jumps up and performs the Double Spring Corner Hurricanrana.
BETHEA: Amazing Counter!
Snake gets up first followed soon after by the Count. Snake runs to the ropes and rebounds off and hits Seeing Double. Snake gets up and quickly goes right for The Worm and hits it. The Count rolls and begins to get up.
BETHEA: How is here getting up after that barrage of attacks.
Snake hits a dropkick to The Counts face before he is fully up knocking him back down. Snake then applies the Viper Vice without wasting time. He locks the move in and The count looks in trouble. The referee asks The Count if he wants to quit, but The Count says no.
BETHEA: how much more of this can the Count take.
Snake puts full power into the move and as hard as he tries The Count can not break the hold. Eventually The Counts body goes limp, Snake keeps the hold applied a bit longer then let’s go and The count lays motionless on the ground. Snake flips The Count over then goes to the corner and hits The Split Legged Moonsault into a pin. …1 …2 …3.
JENKINS: The winner of the match ...Snake Gemini
BETHEA: What a match.
BRIGGS: Still to come tonight... King of Kings will face Sah'ta Thor in an attempt to get his hands on "Super" Benny Starr.
BETHEA: And Oswald Brodd and Santara will battle it out... when we return.

BETHEA: Welcome back to Live-Wire.
"Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath plays. Moments later, Matthew Knox enters the arena with his UK title over his shoulder.
BETHEA: Well, here comes the Raven.
JENKINS: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome ...the FWF United Kingdom Champion ...Matthew "The Raven" Knox!
With the crowd cheering, he makes his way down the ramp before getting into the ring where the ring announcer, Simon Jenkins, hands him the microphone. He waits for the noise from the crowd to die down before speaking.
RAVEN: Now, for those of you who forgot to tune into MNR this week, let me fill you in on what happened. There was a six-man tag between myself and the Twins, facing off against Better Than Sex.
BRIGGS: What a match that was.
RAVEN: I pinned James Bohne and put another 'L' beside "Super" Benny Starr's name.
BRIGGS: It's still an impressive record.
RAVEN: I have to say, that made me feel a little bit better after he stole my Iron Man title. But that's not enough. I want to pin him and I'm...
Knox is cut off by the sound of "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner. Moments later, "Super" Benny Starr enters the arena wearing a full white suit with a hot pink tie and a microphone in his hand. The crowd begin to boo as he pushes his Iron Man title onto his shoulder.
BENNY: Knox, you listen to me. Okay, you have a victory over me, but last time I checked, I've beaten you twice in singles action. It's no coincidence.
BETHEA: And he cheated both times.
BENNY: The fact is... I'm just better than you are, Knox. I'm sure sometime in the future I'll beat you for a third time, but...
RAVEN: Is that a challenge?
BETHEA: Will we see a rematch?
RAVEN: Let's unify our belts. Right now...
The crowd cheer in excitement for the improvised match.
BENNY: Y'see, I would face you, but unfortunately, I twisted my ankle and I'm unable to wrestle tonight.
BETHEA: Oh, come on.
BRIGGS: If he can't wrestle, he can't wrestle.
RAVEN: Well, then... I'm going to issue you a challenge. At FWF Vertigo 2008, I, Matthew Knox, challenge you, Benny Starr... to a championship unification match.
BETHEA: What a challenge. But will Benny accept?
With the crowd cheering, Benny looks on blankly, trying to think of another excuse. Knox stares at him, awaiting an answer.
BENNY: That's all well and good, but, erm... tonight, King of Kings and Sah'ta Thor are in a number one contender's match to this belt. I'll be facing the winner of that match. But don't worry... I have the perfect opponent for you.
James Bohne and Christine roll out from underneath the ring. Christine ascends the turnbuckle, and as Knox is focussed on Benny, she jumps off, executing the Scottdog.
BRIGGS: The Scottdog!
BETHEA: They were under there the whle time!
Benny smiles as he watches his stablemates. James picks Knox up and raises him into the fireman's carry. He then nails the Assassination, knocking Knox out.
BETHEA: And there's the Assassination.
BENNY: At Vertigo, it will be Matthew Knox versus James Bohne... and we'll prove that we are Better Than Sex!
BETHEA: I really can't believe these guys.
BRIGGS: This is getting interesting.
BETHEA: Well, we're gonna have to take a short break. Stay tuned.

BETHEA: Welcome back to Live-Wire.
As Decadance by Disturbed starts to play the arena lights dim. A red carpet rolls down the ramp. Once the carpet is in place white robed monk come out and line sides of it standing with their backs to the fans. Santara comes out carrying his white polished staff and the hood of his gold trimmed purple cloak pulled. He slams the end of his staff on the top of the ramp before walking down the ramp. Once in the ring he hands his staff to one the monks before turning watch the witness the entrance of opponent.
JENKINS: The following match is for one fall. Introducing first from the Unknown, standing seven feet tall and weighing in at 300 pounds… Santara!
The light fades and The Pursuit of Vikings starts. As Oswald appears on the stage the light comes back on and smoke starts to cover the stage. Oswald holds his axe up high and roars. He then places the axe in its sheath on his back. As he walks towards the ring, he drinks mjöd from an ox horn. He slowly steps into the ring, and takes his coat and helmet off after which he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and drink some more mjöd. He then jumps down from the turnbuckle and wait for his opponent.
JENKINS: And his opponent ...from Denmark, Europe, weighing in at 285 pounds …Oswald Brodd!
They lock up in the center of the ring and after a moment of struggling for control Santara pushes Brodd off and Brodd stumbles backwards all the way to the corner.
BRIGGS: Old guy has some strength behind him.
Brodd stares at Santara from the corner and Santara glares back from the center of the ring. Brodd goes forward and they lock up again. Again after a brief moment Santara send Brodd back to the corner. Brodd glares at Santara who is just standing tall in the center of the ring.
BETHEA: Thor’s dad is showing where his son and grand kids got their strength from.
BRIGGS: And next wee be prepared to see Thor’s unckle’s wife’s sister’s mother’s cousin in action.
BETHEA: FWF was always a family company after all.
Brodd goes back and they look like they are going to lock up again, but Santara has enough with the games and delivers a hard knee to Brodd’s gut casuing him to bend over. Santara then hits a devastating clubbing forearm to Brodd’s back making him drop to his knees.
BETHEA: Brodd takes a knee. Can the Viking come back?
Santara lifts Brodd to his feet and holds his arm, he then pulls Brodd with all his strength and with his free arm smashes Brodd in the face with a powerful lariat. He puts a boot on Brodd’s chest and the ref counts…1…kickout!
BRIGGS: Viking said no!
Santara lifts Brodd to his feet and puts his hand around Brodd’s neck, before anything else happens Brodd kicks Santara in the mid-section forcing Santara to let go of Brodd’s neck. Brodd kicks him again in the gut the runs to the ropes and rebounds off, but by now Santara regains himself and places a big boot to Brodd’s face causing him to crash to the ground.
BRIGGS: That one might have hurt a bit.
BETHEA: I agree.
Santara goes for a leg drop, but Brodd rolls out of the way. They both get up at the same time and Brodd unloads on Santara, he has him dazed and takes a step back looking for a big hit. He goes for the strike leaping at Santara, but Santara grabs him in a sidewalk slam planting him back first on the ground.
BETHEA: Another big counter by Santara.
Santara pins. …1 …2. Brodd kicks out. Santara keeps his cool and lifts Brodd up by the head then Irish whips him into the ropes, Santara bends down waiting for Brodd, but Brodd thinks fast and kicks him in the face.
BRIGGS: That’s one way to stop the big guys momentum
Brodd grabs the stunned Santara by the arm and whips him into the ropes. On the rebound Santara hits a brain damaging running DDT.
BETHEA: Whenever Brodd starts to come back Santara turns the table.
Santara lifts Brodd and throws him into to corner; the ref gets caught and gets crushed in the corner by Brodd. The ref falls and Brodd hits his knees. Santara makes his way towards Brodd. Brodd sees his axe right next to him and grabs it the jumps u and with the side of the axe smashes Santara in the side of the face and head.
BRIGGS: Brodd just used that axe of his! Ring the bell, that’s a disqualification.
BETHEA: not if the ref doesn’t see it.
Santara is still up but looks out on his feet. The ref is starting to get up and Brodd sees this and drops his axe. Brodd the bounces off the ropes and hit The Clothesline from Valhalla. Direct hit, but Santara is still up, but looks wobbly.
BETHEA: Clothesline from Valhalla! But Santara is still up, he hasn’t moved since being struck with that axe.
BRIGGS: We really need to ban that thing. BAN THE AXE; BAN THE AXE; BAN THE AXE.
Brodd goes to the ropes and rebound coming back and hitting Santara with another Clothesline from Valhalla, nailing it and knocking Santara down.
BETHEA: Santara is off his feet for the first time this match.
Brodd pins. …1 …2 …3. The bell sounds.
BETHEA: The winner of the match ...Oswald Brodd!
BRIGGS: I don't know how, but he didn't.
BETHEA: An impressive victory by the Viking.
BRIGGS: Fans, news has just been sent to us from the back by "Commissioner" Joe Stall. At Vertigo, Sujir Thorn will put his TV title on the line against Oswald Brodd.
BETHEA: And we've just recieved word from the DOA Mark Briggs that if Jason Tombs can beat the Predator tonight, he will be facing the Hardcore champion at Vertigo.

BETHEA: And we are back here at Live-Wire.
BRIGGS: At Genesis, "Super" Benny Starr defeated the King of Kings to retain his Iron Man title.
BETHEA: But will the King get his chance for a rematch? We'll find out.
JENKINS: The following match is scheduled for one fall, and is for number one contenders spot for the FWF Iron Man Championship! Introducing first ...from parts unknown ...weighing in at 175 pounds ...“The Immortal” Sah’ta Thor!
Pitch black darkness descends upon the area. “Blood and Fire” by Type O Negative starts to play as walls of fire line the ramp a hooded figure in black on a black throne with a chained black mastiff sitting on each side of it as a fog starts to cover the arena. The man on throne lets his hood fall back revealing white horns as he sips a mug of blood. The mug comes down and the man smiles revealing a pair of fangs. He stands up then sets the mug on the seat of the throne as a pair of black feathery wings spread. He slowly walks down the ramp as a light rain starts to fall a lightning bolt hitting the center of the ring every few seconds until his feet hit the steps. He slowly steps into the ring in between the second and top ropes.
BETHEA: Here we go...
“Black Sheep” by Saliva blares forth and the Arena goes black except for a blue light on the top of the arena by the entrance. Just before entrance there is smoke from the floor as KOK enters and walks through it and walks down to the ring. Climbs into the ring using the steps and once in the ring removes the sunglasses and the coat
JENKINS: And his opponent ...from Derby England ...weighing in at 260 ...”King of Kings” Joe Page!
BETHEA: These two are anything but Strangers to each other in the ring.
BRIGGS: This is gonna be good.
The bell rings, and right out of the gates, King of Kings goes on the offensive, taking Thor down with a hard clothesline. Thor gets up quickly though, only to be taken down by another vicious clothesline. King then reaches down, and pulls Thor up by his hair, before whipping him into a corner, and following up with a third clothesline.
BETHEA: The King, solidly in control
BRIGGS: For now.
King then sets Thor up for a superplex. He tugs once, but Thor locks his feet on the top rope, and begins to punch King of Kings in the ribs. King lets Thor go, and retaliates with a hard right, knocking Thor to the side, and almost off the top rope. But, Thor comes back with a harder right, causing King to fall to the mat. Thor then stands on the top rope, and leaps off, nailing a frog splash. He hooks King’s leg
BRIGGS: Awesome move by Thor!
BETHEA: This could be it!!
...1 ...2 …King of Kings Kicks out just as the referee’s hand is coming down for the three. Thor sits up, looking frustrated, then drags king with him, and whips him into the ropes. As king comes back, Thor takes him down in a powerslam, then locks in an inverted STF. The ref gets down, and starts asking King of Kings if he wants to give up. King shakes his head defiantly, and begins to pull himself to the bottom rope.
BRIGGS: Just tap, King! Make it easier on yourself!
King eventually reaches the bottom rope, and grabs onto it.. The ref forces Thor to break the hold, and back off. King pulls himself to his feet slowly, using the ropes. Thor runs at him, attempting a clothesline, but King falls back down, and pulls the rope with him, causing Thor to take himself out of the ring with his own momentum.
BETHEA: Up and Over!
The ref begins his count. ...1 …2. King gets to his feet, and so does Thor. ...3 …4. Thor begins to walk to the ring, intending to get back in. When suddenly, King vaults himself over the top rope, and take Thor down to the floor outside the ring. The referee throws his hands up in frustration, as the fans scream. He begins his count again. ...1 …2.
BRIGGS: What a move!!
BETHEA: But if this match is a draw, then what will happen with the Iron Man title?!
...3 ...4 …5. King gets to his feet slowly, and stands wearily. Feeling the affects of flying, and the inverted STF. ...6 …7 ...8. He goes to the ring then, and rolls in, then out. Once again, breaking the count. As he gets out, he picks Thor up. He looks around for a moment, then vaults Thor toward the ring steps with a hard irish whip, causing the smaller man to topple over them, and grab his legs, yelling in pain.
BETHEA: I can tell you from experience, that don’t tickle.
...1 ...2 ...3 …4. The referee counts again, as King walks over to Thor, and gets him to his feet once more. He slams Thor’s head down on the edge of the ring, then rolls him inside. 5...6... King rolls in after him, then stands up, and starts yelling at Thor to do the same. As Thor begins to get up, King charges him, only to be taken down in a drop toe hold.
BRIGGS: There’s still some fight left in the Immortal.
While King is down, Thor gets up, and begins to stomp away at the King’s head. He bounces off the ropes, an d delivers a hard elbow to the small of his back. King rolls over then ,and Thor drops down, and locks in the Indian death lock. King yells out in pain. And for the second time in the match, the ref drops down, and begins to ask King if he wants to give in.
BETHEA: This has to be it! Thor’s used two of his signature Submissions in this match! How can the King keep going?!
BRIGGS: I don’t know, Bethea. But you’re right. This is it. Thor will become the number one contender for Benny Starr’s title.
King’s yells turn from those of pain, to those of absolute fury, and determination, as he begins to drag himself, and Thor toward the ropes. Thor wrenches the hold in tight, slowing King down, but not stopping him. Finally, King reaches the bottom ropes, and grabs onto it. Once again, the ref forces Thor to let go of King.
BETHEA: The sheer will of that man is amazing.
Thor looks at King in amazement, and frustration. He then hurries to the corner nearest King, and scales it, waiting for King to get up. As he does, He turns toward Thor, who leaps off, attempting a clothesline. King catches him though, in a belly to belly suplex, and uses Thor’s own momentum to send him crashing in a catch-and release-belly to belly suplex.
BRIGGS: AMAZING MOVE!!
BETHEA: The king is still in this!!
Thor gets up, and rushes King, who kicks him in the gut. Thor doubles over, and gets his arms hooked. King of Kings then hit’s the Pedigree. He pins Thor. ...1 …2 …3.
JENKINS: Here is your winner, and the Number One Contender for the FWF Iron Man Championship …King of---
Jenkins is suddenly cut off, as Benny Starr, and James Bohne slide into the ring. Bohne takes King down from behind with a vicious clothesline. Benny goes to Thor, and kicks him a few times, forcing him to slide out of the ring. He turns around then, and begins to stomp away at King of Kings with Bohne.
BETHEA: What the hell is this!! This is heinous!
BRIGGS: The champ out here to send a message to his challenger, and if you ask me, Beast. It’s coming through LOUD and CLEAR.
Benny unstraps his Iron Man title from his waist, and tells Bohne to pick King up. Benny then kneels, and picks the microphone Jenkins was using up off the ground, and gets in King’s face, shoving the Iron Man title in it.
BENNY: You see this, King?! This is as close you’re ever going to come to MY Iron Man championship! You hear me, King?!
King of Kings then spits in Benny Starr’s face, causing him to take a few steps back. Benny comes back then, and hits King in the face with his Iron Man title. Bohne drops him, and looks down at him, as Benny begins to bark orders at him. Bohne then slides out of the ring, and kneels by it, pulling the apron up.
BETHEA: I don’t like the looks of this.
Bohne pulls out a pair of steel chairs, and slides them into the ring, then follows, picking one up, and tossing the other to Benny Starr.
BETHEA: Someone’s gotta stop this!!
Suddenly, the fans scream, as over the railing, comes The UK Champion, Matt Knox. Knox slides into the ring, and spears Bohne, causing him to drop the chair. He begins to hit him in the face with rights, and lefts, then gets up, and turns to Benny Starr, who rushes him with the chair. Knox ducks the shot, and locks Benny in the Tazzmision position.
BETHEA: Here we go!!
Suddenly, though, Bohne gets up, and hits Knox in the back with a chair.
BRIGGS: Take that, you stupid Bird!!
Knox releases Benny, and stumbles forth. Suddenly though, King gets up, bleeding from the shot from the belt, and runs at Bohne, taking him down with a bulldog, causing Bohne to hit his face on the chair. Benny slides out of the ring then, followed by Bohne. King goes over, and Helps Knox to his feet, before going to the Iron Man title, and grabbing it.
BETHEA: Could this be the sight we see in the near future, Briggs?
BRIGGS: I hope not.
Knox raises his UK title in the air, and King raises Benny’s Iron Man title in the air while standing beside him, as we fade to a commercial break

BETHEA: Coming up next, is the long awaited rematch between “The Icon” Jason Tombs, and “The Lost Hero” Predator.
BRIGGS: That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the rematch between Mr. FWF and the Rookie of the Year.
BETHEA: The only difference between then and now is that Jason Tombs is on a two match losing streak, is no longer the Hardcore Champion, while Predator is no longer the number one contender, but rather the FWF World Heavyweight Champion. Looks like the favor is in Predator’s corner.
BRIGGS: BUT, you can’t exclude the fact that Jason Tombs won their last encounter!
BETHEA: Yeah, by count out! Because he took advantage of his hurt knee! I doubt he’ll be so lucky now that all the momentum is behind Predator.
BRIGGS: No! Jason Tombs will beat Predator! You just wait and see! He’ll be crying! Just you wait and see!
BETHEA: At this point in time, Predator seems to be the one with the advantage. Oh, I am getting word that the match is about to start, where going ringside with Charles!
Charles: Coming to the ring first… weighing in at 350 pounds… Standing at 7 feet tall… He hails from Los Angeles, California… Jason Tombs!
As “Never Enough” by Eminem plays and the chicas jump to their feet and scream, The Icon appears on the stage, as sparks shoot from the stage and rain majestically over El Rey De Mexico. Jason Tombs steps forth in his sunglasses, and Mexican style bandanna and hooded sleeveless cloak, as the women sway and the men swear. Donning his pure white boots and skin tight shorts, he makes his decent to the ring. He slides into the ring and jumps to his feet for one last scream from the mamacitas.
BRIGGS: There he is! The Mexican Monster! He’s going to teach Predator to respect me!
BETHEA: That remains to be seen, but he does look rather focused and determined, more so than I’ve ever seen him.
BRIGGS: Of course he does! He’s going to beat Predator! Just you watch! Lolz!
BETHEA: Yeah… Right… Anyways, Jason Tombs seems like is really ready to fight to the death. But I doubt Predator will be any less focused.
Charles: Coming to the ring next… weighing in at 243 pounds… ...from the Eyrie, Ashton-Under-Lyne, England… He is your FWF World Heavyweight Champion… The Predator!
"You Know You're Right" by Nirvana begins to hit the arena's speakers as the packed crowd roar and rise to their feet. With clear confidence in the style of his walk, The Predator proudly makes his way out from behind the curtain. As he makes his way down the aisle, green and gold fireworks go off behind him, forming the shapes of an eagle and a tiger before he pauses and points behind him when, to the amazement of the crowd, a red, white and blue eagle is formed at the top of the ramp by even more fireworks. Kindly acknowledging the excited crowd, The Predator hops into the ring and stares down his opponent.
BRIGGS: Damn, he looks pumped! I mean… Go Jason! Go!
BETHEA: Predator lifts the title high up in the air, as the crowd cheers, before he hands it to the referee. He’s looking the best he’s been in years!
BRIGGS: Crap! I have to admit… He has had a quite a few good weeks… Bastard… But STILL, he is giving up more than a hundred pounds and nearly a foot to Jason!
BETHEA: So!? He defeated the former champ Pain in his LAST ever FWF match to become FWF World Heavyweight Champion, AGAIN.
BRIGGS: Come on Jason! Do it man! Show him why you are the Mexican Monster!
Predator and Jason go to lock up, but at the last second, Tombs lifts his foot high, and goes to stomp on his injured knee, but Predator sidesteps him, and hits a hell of an uppercut, rocking Tombs. Predator connects with another uppercut, and then starts mixing in a few combinations. After several more lefts and rights, Predator runs off the ropes, comes back, and hits a shoulder tackle, but Jason doesn’t budge.
BETHEA: There certainly is a reason why they call him the Mexican Monster; Predator can’t even get him down!
Predator grabs Jason by the arm, and tries to Irish whip him, but Tombs doesn’t move, instead, he pulls Predator forward, going for a short arm clothesline, but Predator ducks, comes off the ropes, jumps, and slams an elbow into the back of Jason’s head. Tombs stumbles forward, as Predator runs off the opposite ropes, runs back, jumps, and drives an elbow into the front of his head.
BRIGGS: Damnit! Come on Tombs! Move! We’ve seen what you’re capable of! Why are you just standing there!
Predator runs off the ropes again, comes back, jumping for a double axe handle to the head, but Jason catches him with both hands around his throat, and lifts him several feet into the air! The referee tells Jason to release the choke, which he does immediately, but with a choke bomb! Predator turns onto his side, grabbing his back in pain.
BETHEA: I have to agree… I am wondering why Jason is only relying on his size and strength…
BRIGGS: Who cares! He just demolished Predator!
BETHEA: Bah! Besides that one move, Predator has had every move in the match!
BRIGGS: Yeah! But one move is all it takes!
Jason runs off the ropes rather quickly, comes back, leaps into the air, and comes down on his knees, going for a knee drop on Predator’s damaged knee, but Predator rolls out the way, and Tombs hits nothing but mat!
BETHEA: Predator is doing an excellent job defending that knee tonight! He is really learning from his mistakes!
With Tombs still on his knees, Predator goes to work on him again, with a combination of lefts and rights! Jason pushes him away with one hand, as Predator flies back, but he is quickly back on the offensive, grabbing Jason’s head, and hitting a flurry of knees to his face! Jason pushes him away again, forcing Predator into the turnbuckle as he holds his face in pain. This time, Predator doesn’t go for Jason again, instead he quickly climbs the to the top rope, and waits until Jason looks up before leaping from the top rope and hitting a hell of a double axe handle! It sends Jason right on his back! Predator jumps on top, hooking the leg, for the cover! One… Tombs throws Predator off of him with authority!
BRIGGS: Come on Jason! Stop letting him hit you damnit!
Predator backs up, as he calls for the Wing Attack! Jason gets up rather slowly, holding his head. As soon as he gets to his feet, Predator leaps forward, jumping up to reach his target on Jason, but Tombs ducks his head, gets his arm in, and hits the Conqueror, slamming Predator down to the mat with a thunderous slam! Jason goes to pin him, but barely gets a two count.
BETHEA: Hell! The Rock couldn’t have done better himself!
BRIGGS: You have to admit, Predator did go for that a bit too early on in the match.
BETHEA: Yeah, although I have to agree, I must say, I can’t blame him for trying to end the match as soon as possible.
Tombs is now on his feet, and seems to have gotten a second wind to him, as he eyes are now wide open, and seem to be on fire. He glares down at Predator, who is on a knee, and about to get to his feet. Jason stalks his back, and as soon as he is to his feet, he goes for a chop block, but Predator jumps up, as Tombs goes under him, and comes down with both knees into his back.
BRIGGS: Son of a bitch!
BETHEA: What a reversal! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before! Looks like Jason’s not the only one with a second wind!
Tombs gets to his feet rather quickly, as does Predator, as they stand toe to toe. Predator goes for a punch, Tombs avoids, and lands a punch of his own! Predator stumbles, before going for another punch, which Jason ducks, before landing another punch! Predator stumbles back, as Tombs goes for another punch, this time Predator ducks, jumps and goes for a high kick, but Jason grabs him by the leg! He quickly sweeps his other leg, drags him in the middle of the ring, and twists the leg to go for a figure four leg lock! But Predator kicks him off! Jason Tombs goes head first into the turnbuckle!
BRIGGS: Damn that Predator is a resourceful little bastard!
BETHEA: That he is Briggs, he won’t let Jason take him apart just because he is bigger!
Predator quickly gets to his feet, and runs in and splashes into Jason’s back, forcing him chest first into the turnbuckle! Jason stumbles back, as Predator quickly turns the table, now working over HIS legs with a fury or left and right kicks! Predator runs off the ropes, comes back, and chop blocks Jason, bring him down to a knee. Predator quickly hooks his head, and jerks back, slamming his head into the mat with a DDT!
BRIGGS: Damn! That Predator is too freaking quick! Jason hasn’t even had the chance to work up his own speed!
Predator goes for a quick pin fall, but barely gets a two count, as Jason brings up an elbow. Predator gets to his feet, as he finally thinks of a game plan. He turns Jason over on to his back, with quite a bit of effort needed. Predator quickly starts stomping away at Jason’s back several times, before backing up into the corner. He climbs up to the top rope, leaps, and drops a big elbow on the back of Tombs.
BETHEA: I think I know what Predator is building up to. He wants to make the Mexican Monster, TAP out!
Jason presses himself up, as Predator jumps onto his back, and locks in the Preysnatcher. Predator starts kneeing Jason into the back, and he yells in extreme pain! Finally Predator falls back, wrapping his legs around Tombs, and tightening the hold. Jason yells in pain, as he fights to get free, but slowly fades away. Finally, he looks out, as the referee grabs his hand. He lifts it, and it falls to the mat once… twice… But on the third time, his hand stays in the air, as his entire body begins to shake!
BRIGGS: He’s not dead yet! He’s still got some fight in him!
BETHEA: It’s still a toss up on whether or not he can get free, Predator has that hold locked in tight.
Tombs uses his free arm, as he uses every once of strength to drag himself towards the rope! He can’t move anymore! He doesn’t have the strength! But he’s so close! He’s reaching for the rope! He has his fingertips on it! Jason Tombs grabs a hold of the rope! The referee grabs Predator and forces him off of Jason, who is lying on the mat, with his hand still on the rope.
BRIGGS: Jason did it! Come on Jason! You can do it!
Predator backs up, leans against the ropes, and starts breathing heavily, as he tries to get his composure back. Meanwhile, Jason Tombs is slowly getting to his feet, using the ropes to help himself to his feet. It seems like his reserved nature thus far in the match helped him recover from such a move. But it still has done an immense amount of damage, as Jason Tombs can’t seem to regain his composure.
BETHEA: I don’t know if Jason can come back after that. It seems to taken a hell of a lot out of him.
Predator stalks Jason as if he was his prey, standing directly behind him as he slowly gets to his feet. Just as he is up, Predator moves in, grabs Jason from behind, and goes for a German Suplex, but Tombs flips kind of awkwardly in the air and lands on his feet behind Predator!
BRIGGS: What the hell was that? That man is seven feet tall! He shouldn’t be able to do that!
BETHEA: Yeah, well, Predator shouldn’t be able to throw a man over his head, but he showed incredible strength with that one!
Jason Tombs drives several shoulders into the back of Predator, before hooking his head from behind, and drops him with an inverted DDT into Tombs’ knee! Jason flips him over onto his chest, gets his arms behind his legs, holds his chin back with his hands, as he locks in the Idoliser.
BRIGGS: The Mexican Monster has Predator locked in his finisher submission! Oh how the tides have turned! Ha ha ha!
BETHEA: And I doubt even Predator can pull a man of Jason’s size to the ropes, is only human after all! This might just be the end!
Jason puts all his weight into Predator’s back, flattening him out, as he leans back, really putting some torque into his neck! Predator refuses to tap out though, even going so far as to push the referee away! Finally, he fades away, just as Tombs did before him! Jason also seems to be looking quite tired as well. The referee lifts Predator’s hand up once… twice… But on the third it stays up!
BRIGGS: What is he going to do? Grab the rope? Copycat!
BETHEA: Holy crap… I don’t think he’s going to the rope Briggs… Look!
The whole crowd is in awe, as the tired and beaten Predator begins to get to his knees, off setting Tombs balance, although he still holds the move in tight. Suddenly, Predator begins to shake violently, as he starts to rise, slowly making Jason rise as well, although his feet are still touching the mat. Finally, Predator makes it completely up, as he holds all of Jason in the air, without even his feet touching the mat! He runs backward very quickly, slamming Tombs into the turnbuckle! The already tired Jason is forced to release the hold, as Predator falls forward, and to his knees a few feet away, as does Jason falls to a sitting position, leaning in the corner for support.
BRIGGS: I can’t believe it; Predator lifted the Mexican Monster off his feet, and slammed him out of the move… He was the first person to ever break that hold…
BETHEA: I must admit, even I am surprised about this… I thought Predator was done for.
As Predator gets to his feet, huffing and puffing, he turns around into a superkick from the Icon! Predator goes down, as Jason stumbles over to the ropes, using them to hold himself up.
BRIGGS: Damn! Who thought a man of his size could bend into a superkick like that!
Jason Tombs goes over to the downed Predator, lifting him to his feet by his collar with a single hand. He then quickly hooks his head, and lifts him into the air to end the match, but just as he goes for the end, Predator starts kneeing him in the head, while suspended upside down in the air. Jason brings Predator back down to the mat, but doesn’t let go of his hold, which is fine with Predator, who continues with his knees to the face, until Jason is forced to release him.
BETHEA: Jason Tombs is busted WIDE open! He has donned the proverbial crimson mask!
Predator, backs up, waiting for Jason Tombs to get to his feet, and as he turns, he runs towards him at full speed, but he ducks, and as Predator comes off the ropes, Jason toe kicks him, hooks his head, and vertical suplexes him! But he doesn’t release, instead he kicks his feet into the air, rolls to his feet, and hits another vertical suplex! He has no slowed down a large amount, but he repeats it one more time! He hits a third vertical suplex!
BRIGGS: The 3 Pendejos! Predator had the match won with that Wing Attack, but it looks like Jason had that scouted as much as Predator has his knee protected!
Jason pins him again, not even able to hook the leg, as he just lies on him, but the stubborn Lost Hero kicks out after a two count. Tombs, obviously upset and frustrated, struggles to his feet, before resolving to just crawling towards the corner of the ring. As he reaches the corner, he grabs the ropes and pulls himself to the top rope. Upon reaching the pinnacle, he stands straight up, using all his will to keep his balance, as he pounds his chest several times, before point up to the rafters. He then leaps, tucks his legs and elbow in, and then pushing them out, before landing on Predator, hitting him with a massive Frog Splash. He lies on top of him after the move, neither man moving. The referee counts. ...1 ...2. Predator kicks out.
BETHEA: Somewhere within the depths of the World Heavyweight Champion, Predator kicked out!
Jason can’t believe it as he rolls onto his back, as both men gasp for air. The referee starts the count, as neither man is up. ...1 ...2 ...3. Both men are starting to move. ...4 ...5 ...6. They have the ring ropes in their hands. ...7 ...8 ...9. Jason Tombs makes it to his feet, with only the ropes holding him up. Predator immediately does the same. They then both stare across the ring at one another.
BRIGGS: Jesus Christ! How are either one of these men even alive!
BETHEA: I don’t know, it’s beyond me at this point.
Both men stumble forward, Predator goes to lock up, but Jason quickly brings up a foot, kicking him in the gut. He wastes no time hooking his head, and after taking a moment for a breather, he lifts Predator into the air. But once again, Predator knees him in the head, causing the blood to flow even more profusely from Jason’s forehead, till he can’t hold him and longer, and Predator slides down Jason’s back. Predator wastes no time, sprinting into the ring ropes and coming back for the Wing Attack, but just as Jason turns around, he kicks Predator straight in bad knee, forcing him down to it, before he hooks his head, and using the last of his energy, hauling him up into the air, and slamming him down with the Dethroner! Jason just lies on top of him, neither man moving as the referee makes the count. ...1 ...2 ...3.
BRIGGS: Holy shit! Jason did it! Jason did it!
BETHEA: I can’t believe my eyes, I though he was going to need to use a steamroller to defeat Predator.
BRIGGS: He did it! I can’t believe Predator came so damn close! But Jason did it! I can’t fucking believe it!
BETHEA: Hell, neither can I!
Charles: Winner of the match, by pin fall, “The Icon,” JASON TOMBS!!
Jason Tombs rolls onto his back, blood tricking down all sides of his head, as the referee lifts him limp arm into the air in victory. He then heads backstage
BETHEA: At seven feet tall, Jason Tombs is just unbeatable.
As Predator is getting up, from out of nowhere, Couch Potato hits him with the Lazy Boi, knocking him back down.
STRACHON: What the?
BETHEA: It's Couch Potato! The man who will face Predator at Vertigo.
With the crowd booing, Couch smiles as he raises his and the Predator's belts into the air as the scene fades to black.
