STRACHON: Welcome to Live-Wire. Sam Strachon and Ernest Bethea here.
BETHEA: We are hot off of Collision: Lost Heroes versus Next Generation. How’s your head doing, Sam.
STRACHON: Don’t even start.
BETHEA: It served you right for getting involved.
STRACHON: I hate King of Kings. I really do.
BETHEA: And judging from the Pedigree he gave you, he hates you too. Speaking of King, he will be the special guest on the Dragon’s Dungeon in a few minutes time.
STRACHON: Let’s talk about our main event.
BETHEA: This is going to be one you don’t wanna miss.
STRACHON: If you watched Collision, then you would’ve seen the great match between Dan Taylor’s team and Matt Knox’s team.
BETHEA: In a twist of fate that shocked the world, Dan Taylor, who had been the sole survivor in the Collision matches for the previous two years, was the first man eliminated.
STRACHON: And the only on his team.
BETHEA: This left the remaining four members of team Lost Heroes struggling for leadership, which led to a bit of an uneven ground between Pain and the Predator.
STRACHON: So tonight in our main event, it will be one half of the Lost Heroes, The Predator, taking on the World Heavyweight Champion, Pain.
Suddenly, the lights go off. Then, a dark, red light surrounds the arena as “All My Life” by Foo Fighters blares over the P.A system. After a moment, Dan Taylor enters the arena to a huge ovation, attired in his black, leather jacket and red, tinted glasses. He begins to walk down the ramp, but comes to a halt halfway. He drops to his knees as a range of fireworks explode from the titantron. They finish and Dan stands. He strolls up the black, metal ring steps and ascends the turnbuckle from the outside. He raises his arms as a “DDT” chant begins. He then drops down to the canvas where he is handed a microphone.
DRAGON: Welcome to the Dragon’s Dungeon!
BETHEA: Listen to this crowd, Sam.
DRAGON: What an exhausting couple of months it’s been. Especially last week in Las, Vegas. It was me and my team of Pain, X-ecutioner, Don Lepore and my tag partner, Predator... against Matt Knox’s team of Jackson, James Jefferson, Ryan Spiva and Eric Stuart.
STRACHON: And what a great match it was.
DRAGON: I don’t about you, but I sure as hell didn’t expect to get eliminated. I mean... Collision has always been my night. Collision: FWF verses UCW... I led my team to victory, being the sole survivor. Collision: FWF verses wWo... I led my team to victory, being the sole survivor. This year was different. It was Collision: Lost Heroes versus Next Generation. I didn’t lead my team, but they sure were victorious.
BETHEA: Got that right.
DRAGON: I knew I picked the right people. I’m glad too... since my return, I am four and zero... undefeated. But win or lose, I’m just happy it’s all over.
BETHEA: It’s been one hell of a ride.
STRACHON: This whole old school/nu skool feud started three months ago at Jealousy. I think we’ve seen the end of it.
DRAGON: So let’s get on with the show. My guest tonight made a great return to Live-Wire a few weeks ago. Please welcome ...the King of Kings!
STRACHON: Boo! Booooooo!
BETHEA: Give it a rest.
“King of Kings” by Motorhead plays. With the crowd cheering, King of Kings enters the arena. He begins to walk down the ramp, slapping the hands of the fans that offer them. He then gets into the ring where he is handed a microphone by a member of the ring crew. He and Dan shake hands.
DRAGON: Welcome to the Dungeon, King.
KING: Great to be here, mate.
DRAGON: Now... you talk about your Lost Heroes and your Next Generation, but you claim to be somewhere in between. You think that you’re a wrestler of this generation.
KING: Dan... I’ve been here for well over a year now. I’m one half of the longest reigning FWF US tag team champions. I’m a former Iron Man champion. I think I’ve paid my dues for long enough.
STRACHON: I disagree. Pay more.
DRAGON: I’m on your side. You’ve paid your dues... and you stuck it to Sam Strachon last week, which is always a blast.
STRACHON: I used to like that guy.
DRAGON: I think you deserve more than you’re getting. Say... a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship?
KING: It’s my time. All I ask for is a shot. If I lose, I go back and I train harder.
DRAGON: A couple of weeks ago on Live-Wire, you made it clear what you wanted. Pain burst onto the scene and hit you from behind with his ego. How do you feel about that?
KING: I wanted a shot at the title. Pain knew that. I had respect for Pain. If we had a match, then it would’ve been based on respect. But he made it personal.
DRAGON: Hey, I’ve hated Pain before hating Pain was cool. I know what he can be like. I also know what it’s like to face him. We’ve both beaten each other on many occasions.
BETHEA: That’s right. I can’t forget their classic match in AHW for the AHW championship.
STRACHON: They’ve battled in FWF, AHW and EWF.
DRAGON: As much as I don’t like the guy and I don’t like to admit this... but Pain is one of the best wrestlers in world today. Do you think that you’re good enough to beat him?
STRACHON: I don’t.
KING: There’s only one way to find out.
DRAGON: That sounds like a challenge. This is the Dragon’s Dungeon. I want you to look into that camera there and say the magic words.
KING: Pain. You told me a few weeks ago after you hit my from behind that I would never get a shot at your title. But what does that do for your reputation? It’s not good, I can tell you that. It makes you a coward. In a few weeks time, it’s FWF Bloodthirst. It’s currently without a main event, but I think of a match that would fit perfectly. King of Kings versus Pain... for the World Heavyweight Championship. I want an answer, Pain... and I want it tonight!
BETHEA: The challenge has been made?
STRACHON: I can’t believe he went ahead with it.
BETHEA: Will King get his shot? Pain will make a decision tonight.
All of a sudden, “Blood and Fire” by Type O Negative plays. KOK and DDT look confused as they stare at the titantron. After a moment, Sah’ta Thor walks out on stage with a microphone in hand.
THOR: I hate to break up this little party. But what about my shot? I think I deserve a shot at the World Heavyweight Title.
DRAGON: Hold up there, skipper. What's that around your waist? It looks like the FWF United States Tag Team championship. You should be happy with what you have. Besides... what makes you think you deserve a shot at the world title?
THOR: Well, if you look at who the number one contender is...
BETHEA: Ouch.
THOR: Tonight, I am going to destroy King of Kings... then we'll see who the true contender is.
DRAGON: Oh really? Well it seems as though the two of you have a match tonight. And while I'm here... I think I'm going to make myself special guest referee!
STRACHON: What? Can he do that?
BETHEA: He just has, Sam. And these fans love it.
Thor takes off his tag belt and runs down the ramp. He gets into the ring and he and KOK begin to exchange blows. KOK goes for a right hand, but Thorn ducks. Thor then hits KOK with a dropkick to the knee. He bounces off the ropes and comes back with a Tornado DDT.
BETHEA: Is that the best move to do in front of the DDT kid?
Thor picks KOK up and Irish-whips him, but KOK counters. When Thor comes back, King lifts him up and slams him to the mat with a spinebuster. Thor slowly gets up. KOK Irish-whips him. He goes for a clothesline, but Thor ducks. Thor goes for the handspring back elbow, but KOK moves out of the way and Thor hits Dan.
STRACHON: He hit Dan, Bethea?
BETHEA: That's something he's going to regret.
STRACHON: Especially seeing as that Dragon can breathe fire... apparently.
KOK grabs Thor, but Thor pokes KOK in the eye. Thor then connects with a roundhouse kick. Dan gets up and as Thor turns around, Dan picks him up into the fireman's carry position. He then nails the Dragon Slam.
BETHEA: The Dragon Slam! The special guest referee just hit the Dragon Slam on Sah'ta Thor.
STRACHON: He can't do this, Bethea. Mark Briggs had better do something.
The crowd begin to cheer loudly as Dan picks Thor up. He hooks his head as if to go for the Impaler DDT. The crowd. KOK gets up. Dan changes his mind and throws Thor into KOK, who hooks Thor's arms. KOK then nails the Pedigree. He covers and Dan counts. ...1 ...2 ...3.
JENKINS: The winner of the match ...”King of Kings” Joe Page!
STRACHON: What... the hell?
BETHEA: Dan Taylor just screwed over Thor... and this crowd are on fire.
DRAGON: Thor... sorry about that. It's nothing personal... It's just that earlier tonight, I talked to Mark Briggs. It appears that at Bloodthirst... it will be the Lost Heroes versus Empire of Blood for the US Tag Team titles!
STRACHON: WHAT?
BETHEA: What an announcement. We're gonna have to take a short break. Don't go anywhere!
BETHEA: We are hot off of Collision: Lost Heroes versus Next Generation. How’s your head doing, Sam.
