The New Direction video package airs. After it fades out, “Sparkle and Shine” by Econoline Crush plays, signalling the start of the show. The camera moves around the arena, showing the screaming fans. It then shows the commentary team of Sam Strachon and Linda Myles.
STRACHON: Welcome to a very special edition of Live-Wire. We are live from Washington, DC.
MYLES: Special edition is right, Sam. To compensate for Stampede TV being down, we have thrown together an interpromotional show.
STRACHON: Wrestlers from both Live-Wire and MNR will be in action tonight.
MYLES: We have an amazing main event for you tonight.
STRACHON: Depending on which way you look at it.
MYLES: A dream match featuring the Iron Man champion, Matthew “the Raven” Knox.
STRACHON: And his opponent in his last Live-Wire match... Camisado.
MYLES: Live-Wire will host an FWF Women’s championship match as Jasmine defends her belt against Katherine Brown.
STRACHON: The World Heavyweight champion will also be in action as he takes on The Keg in a non-title bout.
MYLES: But before that, we have a tag team match. Let’s take it to Simon Jenkins.
"You Know You're Right" by Nirvana begins to hit the arena's speakers as the packed crowd roar and rise to their feet. With clear confidence in the style of his walk, The Predator proudly makes his way out from behind the curtain. As he makes his way down the aisle, green and gold fireworks go off behind him, forming the shapes of an eagle and a tiger before he pauses and points behind him when, to the amazement of the crowd, a red, white and blue eagle is formed at the top of the ramp by even more fireworks. Kindly acknowledging the excited crowd, The Predator hops into the ring and awaits his opponent.
JENKINS: The following match scheduled is for one fall. Introducing first ...from the Eyrie, England ...weighing in at 267 pounds ...The Predator!
A dark, red light surrounds the arena as “All My Life” by Foo Fighters plays. After a moment, Dan Taylor enters the arena to a huge ovation. He begins to walk down the ramp, stopping half way. He drops to his knees as a range of fireworks explode from the titantron.
JENKINS: And his partner ...from Manchester, England ...weighing in at 245 pounds ...Dan “Dragon” Taylor!
The fireworks finish and Dan stands, continuing his journey. He strolls up the ring steps and ascends the turnbuckle from the outside, raising his arms. He then hops down into the ring where he shakes The Predator’s hand. He takes off his leather jacket and sunglasses and hands them to a member of the ring crew.
JENKINS: And they are ...The Lost Heroes!
STRACHON: The fans love ‘em... and I do too.
MYLES: Of course, The Predator making his name in UCW, the place that made you famous, Sam.
"I Am" by Dale Oliver hits the arena as James Bohne, cheesily grinning struts out with the "United States" Championship glistening over his right shoulder. By his side is Couch Potato. The two of the walk down the ramp and enter the ring to a booing crowd.
JENKINS: And their opponents ...representing Monday Night Rampage ...the team of Couch Potato and the FWF US champion, James Bohne ...The Phenomenals!
The bell sounds and Dan starts things off with Couch. The two of them lock up and straight away, Dan takes Couch into a standing armbar. From this position, Dan circles under Couch’s left arm, getting him into a wristlock. He bends the arm, applying a hammerlock.
MYLES: Dan Taylor is arguably the best technical wrestler in FWF.
STRACHON: With his partner being another.
MYLES: I don’t think Couch will be able to compete.
Couch struggles. He elbows Dan in the side of the head with his free arm. He then pulls Dan’s arm around and applies a wristlock of his own. Couch looks proud of himself. He turns to James and smiles and James claps him. Dan then rolls out. He then rolls onto his back and nips up before countering Couch’s move, getting Couch in a wristlock.
MYLES: I think Couch is outmatched in terms of technicality.
Dan takes Couch into a hammerlock and then immediately jumps forward into a headlock. Couch begins to elbow Dan in the stomach. He pushes Dan into the ropes and Dan comes back with a shoulder tackle. He bounces off the ropes and Couch gets up. Couch leapfrogs.
STRACHON: Picking up the pace here.
Couch goes for a clothesline, but Dan ducks. Dan then runs back with a running knee. Couch gets up and runs at Dan, but Dan executes the armdrag. James gets in the ring and runs at Dan, but Dan hits a hiptoss. James rolls out of the ring as Couch stands up. Dan lifts him up and drops him with a bodyslam. He then bounces off the ropes and hits a running falling headbutt as the crowd cheer.
STRACHON: The Dragon is back, Linda.
MYLES: This is Dan’s first match since February. So far so good.

MYLES: Here comes the U...S champ.
STRACHON: I don’t know who I want to win more.
Predator and James go to lock up, but James kicks Predator in the stomach. He raises his arms as the crowd boo. He then bounces off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Predator ducks it and hooks James from behind in a waistlock. Predator then nails a German Suplex.

Predator tags Dan in. Dan comes in and picks James up. He gets him into a wristlock and then Irish-whips him into the corner. Dan walks towards James, but James hits a drop-toe-hold, forcing Dan’s head to hit the second turnbuckle.
MYLES: Ouch.
STRACHON: That’s how you stop a guy in his tracks.
James hooks Dan from behind in a waistlock position. He then hits a German Suplex. He gets up and points at Predator, and then at Dan. James begins to stomp Dan. Dan tries to get up, but James hooks his head and plants him with a DDT.
STRACHON: Haha... who’s the DDT kid now?
MYLES: I thought you wanted him to win.
STRACHON: No... I want Predator to win.
MYLES: But that... then... I... Gah, I give up on you.
James tags Couch in. Couch goes straight into the cover. ...1 ...2. Dan kicks out. Couch picks him up and Irish-whips him. When Dan bounces back, Couch hits him with a huge clothesline. He covers again. ...1 ...2. Dan kicks out.

MYLES: Dan Taylor is really being dominated in this match, Sam.
STRACHON: That’s because he started off on top. If you’re at the top, there’s only one direction you can go... down!
James raises his arms as the crowd boo. He shakes his head and picks Dan up, Irish-whipping him into a free corner. He grabs Dan and lifts him up, sitting him on the top turnbuckle. He then climbs up with Dan and hooks his head.
MYLES: Looks like he’s going for a superplex.
Dan begins to punch James in the gut. He then delivers a range of headbutts to James’ head. Dan hits James with a hard chop, knocking him off the top rope. Dan then adjusts himself, standing up on the top. The crowd cheer as Dan leaps off, hitting the Diving Headbutt.
MYLES: Diving Headbutt!
STRACHON: Shades of the great Dynamite Kid. It’s been so long since we’ve seen that.
MYLES: Both men are down.
...1 ...2 ...3. They both begin to move. ...4 ...5 ...6. James gets to one knee as Dan reaches out for Predator. ...7 ...8 ...9. James grabs Dan’s leg, stopping him from making the tag. James gets up and runs Predator, but Predator hits a big back body drop. Couch gets into the ring and runs at Predator, but receives a big boot for his trouble. Couch rolls to the outside. James gets up and walks towards Predator who lifts him and drops him with a sidewalk slam.

Predator begins to wind up his arm to the crowd’s approval. He goes for the Wing Attack, but James ducks. James goes for a clothesline, but Predator blocks, grabbing his arm. Predator hooks James’ head as Dan comes into the ring and grabs him in a front face lock position. Predator then hits a variation of the armbreaker stunner as Dan hits the Impaler DDT.
MYLES: What a double team!
STRACHON: I believe they call that the The Super Duper Mega Cool Double Team Move of Awesomeness.
On the outside of the ring, Couch stands up. Dan grabs the top rope and uses it for elevation as he jumps over the top rope with a crossbody plancha. Predator covers James. ...1 ...2 ...3.
JENKINS: The winners of the match ...the team of The Predator and Dan “Dragon” Taylor ...the Lost Heroes!
STRACHON: Yes! The Predator won.
MYLES: What a way to open up the show.
STRACHON: And what a way to return to Live-Wire. What a great match.
MYLES: This is the New Direction of FWF!
