“Numb” by Linkin Park plays, signalling the start of the show as the camera moves through the crowd, taking a look at the various signs that the fans have brought. The camera then switches to the commentary booth.
LEGEND: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Monday Night Rampage.
STRACHON: We are live from Stoke-on-Trent, England. I am Sam Strachon here with Johnny Legend.
LEGEND: Sam, Hotter than Hell is just around the corner and I don’t think anyone can get more excited.
STRACHON: We will be live on pay-per-view from Manchester, England, available to watch on Stampede TV.
LEGEND: And what about that main event, Sam? It’s the match you never thought you’d see.
STRACHON: And the match you’ll wish you never saw.
LEGEND: The Predator defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Sah’ta Thor in Chris Sharp’s Devil’s Advocate.
STRACHON: The ropes will be replaced with barbed-wire and surrounding the ring... a steel cell; Hell in a Cell.
LEGEND: The match ends by pinfall or submission only, but in order to do that, you must first put your opponent through a flaming table.
STRACHON: Marvellous.
LEGEND: And what about Live-Wire this week, Sam? First, an eagle, then the snakes?
STRACHON: That’s Predator for you, Legend. Don’t forget his best friend is the Master of Psychology... he’s taking a page out of his book.
CHARLES: The following match scheduled is for one fall!
"Over the Hills and Far Away" blasts out of the sound system. Thunder waits behind the curtain for a while. He then steps out on to the stage, tapping his shoulder three times before pointing up and as he does, red and white fireworks go off. As he makes his way down the ramp to the ring he taps the hands of the fans. He then rolls in the ring. He leaps up on to the second turn buckle in the left top corner and stretches his arms out in a cross. Thunder climbs down and walks to the right bottom corner and does the same.
CHARLES: Introducing first ...weighing in at 325 pounds ...Thunder!
Red and orange lights flash as the sound of bagpipes are heard. This is then cut off by "I Disappear" by Metallica, as Christine enters the arena with a black rose in her hand. She walks down the ramp with the crowd booing and slides under the bottom rope. She places the rose in the corner and the lights restore to normal as the music fades.
CHARLES: And his opponent, from Glasgow, Scotland ...weighing in at 134 ...she is the Highlander from Hell ...Christine Marsh!
LEGEND: And there is the woman that faces Nerina Rivers in a Buried Alive Match at Hotter than Hell.
STRACHON: If she can make it ‘til Saturday that is. She’s facing a man that’s two and a half times her weight.
The two warriors stare down, with Thunder easily towering over Christine. Christine then low blows Thunder. She smiles and tells the referee to ring the bell. He does so and with Thunder hunched over, she bounces off the ropes. She then comes back, hitting the Ashes to Ashes.
LEGEND: Oh! Ashes to Ashes off a low blow.
She covers. ...1 ...2. Thunder powers out.
STRACHON: He kicked out, Legend.
LEGEND: It’ll take more than that to keep this man down.
Christine looks angry and as Thunder is getting up, she hits him with stiff right hands, barely causing him to budge. He gets up and she bounces off the ropes. She comes back with a lariat, not moving Thunder.
LEGEND: I don’t think so.
She bounces off the ropes and hits a second lariat, but Thunder remains standing. She then hits the ropes again. She comes back with a lariat, but Thunder ducks. When she bounces back again, Thunder lifts Christine high into the air and slams her to the mat with a Spinebuster.
LEGEND: What a thunderous Spinebuster!
STRACHON: I’ll handle the puns, thank you.
The crowd cheer and as Christine is getting up, Thunder tosses her into a powerslam position. Before he has chance to hit the move, Christine begins to rake his eyes before rolling off his back behind him. She then bounces off the ropes. He turns around and she hits a Leg Lariat, knocking him down.
STRACHON: That did it.
Thunder begins to get to his feet, at which point, Christine dropkicks him to the knee. She then hooks both of his arms before executing the Christine Plant. She struggles to roll him into his back, but in doing so, she covers. ...1 ...2 ...Thunder kicks out.
LEGEND: He kicked out again! Christine has finished people off with that move.
Thunder begins to get to his feet and Christine bounces off the ropes. She comes back, hooking Thunder’s head and trying to take him round for a Tornado DDT, but Thunder counters. He hooks her head and takes her over with a suplex, keeping hold.
LEGEND: That’s one.
He twists at the hips and pulls Christine up to her feet. He then hits a second suplex. He lifts her up again and with the crowd cheering, he nails a third suplex. He gets up and looks at the crowd.
LEGEND: The Three Amigos.
Thunder looks around. He then gets on the apron and begins to ascend the turnbuckle from the outside. He stands on the top rope, looking down at Christine below him. He then leaps off with the Frog Splash, but Christine moves out of the way.
LEGEND: Oh! I think that took a lot out of him.
Christine capitalises, quickly making her way to the top rope. Thunder slowly gets up, hunched over. At which point, Christine jumps off, planting Thunder’s head into the mat with the ScotDog. She covers. ...1 ...2 ...3.
CHARLES: The winner of the match ...Christine Marsh!
LEGEND: An impressive win by the Highlander from Hell.
Christine goes over to the corner and picks up her black rose. She places it down on top of Thunder. She then gets out of the ring and as she begins to walk up the ramp, Nerina Rivers makes her way out.
STRACHON: Gayrina Gayvers.
LEGEND: Very innovative.
STRACHON: I thought so.
The two women stare at each other. They then run towards each other, hitting their future opponent with rights and lefts. Adam runs out and tries to hold Nerina back as the scene cuts backstage to Linda Myles.
MYLES: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, I’m Linda Myles. My guest at this time is the man that faces Predator at Hotter than Hell, Sah’ta Thor.
The camera moves out to show Thor stood beside her.
MYLES: This past week on Live-Wire, the Predator has been sending a clear message to you, sending well... predators. How do you feel about that?
THOR: It’s mind games, Linda. He had an eagle fly at me, and I’m not even going to mention the snakes. He’s just trying to psyche me out before our match.
MYLES: Is it working?
THOR: No. Linda, I’m probably one of the weirdest people you’ll come across. In five-hundred years, nobody has gotten inside this mind. Now, if you’ll excuse me... I have some training to do.
Thor walks off the set and the camera follows him. He heads to a door reading ‘Sah’ta Thor’. He opens it to reveal his locker room. He walks over to the far end, opening his locker to show a snake. He remains calm and smiles, picking the snake up.
THOR: You’ll have to do better than that, Predator.
He chuckles. He then turns around to see a black panther sprawled out across his sofa. Frightened, Thor pushes himself back against the wall. Cheers are heard coming from the arena as the scene fades out to the commercial break.
